Dr. Greg Strunk hails from Huntingdon, PA, where he was raised in a household deeply rooted in healthcare. His father, initially a general Internist before specializing in Cardiology, and his mother, a versatile registered nurse, instilled in him a profound appreciation for the field. Growing up amidst the serene landscapes, Dr. Strunk fostered his love for soccer, skiing, and the great outdoors. After graduating from Huntingdon High School in 1996, Dr. Strunk pursued higher education at Juniata College, graduating in 2000 with a B.S. in Natural Science and a minor in Education. Following his undergraduate studies, he was accepted into a Master’s Program for Biomedical Science at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), his father's alma mater, before progressing to the medical program, where he graduated in 2007. Dr. Strunk's professional journey led him to choose Altoona Family Physicians for his residency, drawn by its unopposed program, rural medicine track, and proximity to his hometown. Completing his residency in 2010, he garnered numerous accolades including Resident of the Year and Resident Teacher of the Year. Returning to Huntingdon, Dr. Strunk commenced his tenure at J.C. Blair in 2009, later co- founding Huntingdon Family Physicians, a satellite office of UPMC Altoona Family Physicians. Despite UPMC's decision to close the Huntingdon office, Dr. Strunk remained dedicated to his community, transitioning to Broad Top Medical in 2018. Motivated by a profound commitment to community healthcare, Dr. Strunk established Strunk Direct Care in June 2024. He eagerly anticipates serving Huntingdon with unwavering dedication, providing high-quality, evidence-based primary care services for years to come, while cherishing the joys of family life with his two beloved children.

Meet Ashley, a dedicated nurse since 2008 who has traversed various medical specialties, with a predominant tenure in primary care. Over the years, Ashley has cultivated a profound passion for enhancing the quality and accessibility of care within the community. This drive led her to embark on a new journey as the owner and operator of NURSEry Rhymes Child Care Center at Juniata College. Driven by her vision of fostering a healthier and more inclusive community, Ashley is committed to leveraging her expertise and resources to uplift the standard of care. By collaborating with like minded individuals and organizations, she aims to establish a nurturing environment where every individual, from the youngest to the oldest, receives the attention and support they deserve. With a steadfast focus on creating a better tomorrow, Ashley continues to champion initiatives that not only cater to the immediate needs but also sow the seeds for a thriving future. Through her tireless efforts and unwavering dedication, she is determined to leave an indelible mark on the community, ensuring that it flourishes into a place where everyone can live and grow to their fullest potential.
